The Covenant HealthCare College of Medicine at Central Michigan University faculty, academic and support \r\nstaff are our most valuable resource. The faculty and staff of the college are dedicated to achieving the mission, realizing \r\nthe vision and upholding values of the medical school. Our emphasis\r\n is on training the next generation of physicians to provide \r\npatient-centered and evidence-based health care for medically \r\nunderserved populations in Michigan. We aim to engage our physicians in \r\nleading health care transformation, lifelong learning and team-based \r\neducation.
The goal of the Office of Faculty and Staff Affairs\r\n is to provide professional and personal development and support for all\r\n those working for our college to succeed. Faculty and Staff\r\n Affairs team members work with the discipline chairs and the Faculty \r\nAdvancement Appointment and Promotion Committee to manage the \r\nappointment, reappointment, promotion and tenure process. Other areas \r\ninclude oversight of faculty development programs, the faculty annual \r\nperformance and academic review process, and faculty and staff \r\nrecruitment.

Also, faculty physicians \r\nin our communities who generously donate their time and expertise will \r\nfind information here about being and becoming one of the already 1,500 \r\nplus volunteer community educators as well as relevant community faculty\r\n development resources.
Additionally, when CMU launched its \r\nmedical school in 2010, it partnered with Saginaw-based Covenant \r\nHealthCare and MyMichigan Health (formerly Ascension St. Mary's) and \r\ncreated CMU Medical Education Partners.
